Entering the industry in 1987, in the highly competitive Surfers Paradise market, Dean spent the ensuing four years specialising in beachside house, apartment and penthouse sales as well as completing his auctioneer's training. Those earliest years provided a solid platform of agency skills and experience.
Due to the nature of the market and the region it was often the case that these sales were off the plan. Perhaps a natural progression was to join one of Australia's largest global agencies to assist in establishing and running a project marketing business and later a specialised residential investment business. After a further 9 years these roles led to executive and consultancy roles within property development industry and direct sales and marketing management of major residential projects.
In 2000 Dean founded Landbanc, a company dedicated to providing a range of residential property services, and as principal continues to drive the company today.
Directly undertaking site acquisition, amalgamation and residential development activities has provided Dean with solid insight into and understanding of these particular processes, further underpinning his industry experience.
After relocating to Canberra in 2009 Dean has held leadership positions with major real estate companies, delivered industry training and provided expert commentary to major national media.
